From the Pastor’s Desk (6/24/2015)

Dear CSOPC brothers and sisters,

John Newton once described the Christian life as one of ‘exodus and exile.’  That is, we have been set free from our slavery to sin and death; and we now live as exiles in this world as we walk the narrow path to the Celestial City.  And as we live as exiles in this world, we are called to live faithfully unto the glory of Christ.  The Apostle Paul encourages the church with these words:

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Cor 15:58)

Brothers and sisters in Christ, this is my prayer for you this week.  Labor for the Lord … abound in the work of the kingdom … be steadfast in the grace and strength of the risen Lord!

Have a blessed week and we look forward to seeing you soon!

And pray for the Lord’s presence and blessing as you gather to worship the Lord this Lord’s Day!

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Arendale
