Cornerstone OPC Welcomes New Pastor, Todd Bordow

Todd Bordow

Pastor Todd Bordow and his wife,

Our family-in-Christ at Cornerstone OPC is excited to welcome Rev. Todd Bordow as our new pastor, and his dear wife Cheryl into our congregation. Todd received his Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California in 1996 and his Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando.

In 1998 he was ordained as a minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Todd and his wife Cheryl were married in 1986 and have five children. We are honored and eager to benefit from the blessing of Todd’s rich experience in teaching, counseling, and shepherding God’s people.

Todd maintains a blog where he posts theological articles and written sermons, as well as links to his book, What Did Jesus Really Say About Divorce?  You can visit Todd’s blog at

We are also proud to announce that our beloved previous pastor, Rev. Robert Arendale, has taken up a new position as Executive Director of Houston Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). This is a wonderful ministerial opportunity for Robert and Christy, and we are eager to see the many blessings God has in store for their beautiful family. The Arendales will continue to worship with us at Cornerstone, and we look forward to many new opportunities to support them and others in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Greater Houston and the world.

RTS recently posted the announcement on their website:

Rev. Arendale has served as the planting pastor of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Houston for the past five-and-a-half years. During his time at Cornerstone, he watched the Lord grow his core group of 25 to a thriving congregation of 125. Rev. Arendale and his wife Christy are thankful for their time serving at Cornerstone and how it has prepared them for the next season of their life. They are excited about the new ministry opportunity the Lord has put before them at RTS in Houston.

With regard to Rev. Arendale taking this new position, Dr. Duncan commented, “Robert Arendale is an RTS legacy. His father was a good friend to RTS Chancellor Emeritus Ric Cannada from their days as fellow students at Vanderbilt. Robert himself is a graduate of RTS Charlotte and good friends with so many of our institutional leaders. He knows and gets RTS, and his leadership at RTS Houston will be a blessing for our students, as well as area pastors and churches.”
